Updating these docs

This site is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript in /home/rob/docs/public. One agent (Claude) owns it: it reads the repos in /home/rob/code and rewrites the pages. Agents working inside those repos never write here.

The daily run

A cron job runs scripts/update.sh every day. For each page it asks an agent to compare the repo with the page. If the repo has no new commits and nothing is wrong, the page is left alone. Every page that changes gets its own git commit. Output goes to logs/YYYY-MM-DD.log.

Install or change the schedule (default 05:30 server time):

Updating by hand

Update everything, one page, or several pages. Names are the repo folder names (plus football-manager and index).

Or open Claude Code in /home/rob/docs and say "update the {{PAGE}} docs". The document-repo skill tells it what to do.

Checking links

cd /home/rob/docs
scripts/check-links.sh

Prints any link or #anchor that points nowhere. No output means all good.

Publishing the site

The files are served as-is by nginx at docs.admin.sortitoutsi.net. Set that up (or re-apply it) with:

Adding a page by hand

1. Copy scripts/page-template.html to public/NAME.html.
2. Add ['NAME', 'NAME'] to public/assets/nav.js.
3. Add a line for it on the overview.

How pages work

• Every heading has an id, so you can link to page.html#section. All text is visible on the page, so Ctrl+F finds everything.
• Example commands may contain {{NAME}}. Type a value into the "Your values" box above them and every example on the page fills in. Values are remembered in your browser and shared across pages that use the same name.
• Each page ends with a changelog.
• Game internals live only in How Football Manager works. App pages link there instead of repeating them.
